Welcome to Saint Joseph's Nursery

St. Joseph’s is a Catholic Maintained Nursery School located in Saint Joseph’s Parish, Antrim. It is a purpose-built nursery school that caters primarily for the educational needs of all children in their final preschool year. We welcome children and staff from other faith denominations. Saint Joseph’s Nursery has been recognized by UNICEF as a ‘Rights Respecting School’.

Celebrating a proud history since 1975, our nursery school now offers three vibrant full-time classes for 78 preschool children. With 26 children in each class, we create a caring, stimulating environment where every child thrives.

School Hours:

Red Full time session (Mrs Maguire):    9.00 am - 1.30 pm

Blue Full time session (Miss Lambert):    9.00 am - 1.30 pm

Green Full time session (Mrs Goss):    9.00 am - 1.30 pm

We have a wide range of learning areas, both inside and outside. The nursery school has a welcome play area and three large, bright classrooms with quiet rooms. Our outdoor classrooms feature a sensory garden and a woodland area, offering rich, hands-on experiences that enhance learning and foster a deeper connection with nature

Staff aim to provide a rich variety of play activities and other experiences, which motivate and challenge children, in environments that are both supportive and child led. It is within this caring and supportive environment that children will become enthusiastic learners and can reach their full potential in every aspect of their growth and development.
